Typically rated as Class III (3) and occasionally class IV (4) rapids combining adrenaline and natural beauty throughout the season.

White Water Rafting Price:

Self Driving:

You must arrive at the first meeting location in Quepos area for 8am. We will supply you with directions and GPS coordinates.
From there, the tour operator will bring you to base camp at the top of the river. Approximately 60 minutes scenic drive.
If you have a Daily Driver included with your Jaco VIP Vacation Package, you can use this for transportation.

This is private transportation for your group only, and will not pick up any other people.
Pick up from your villa or condo is at 6am, and brought to starting location in Quepos for 7am.
From there, the tour operator will bring you to base camp at the top of the river. Approximately 60 minutes scenic drive.
At the end of the tour, your driver will bring you back to your villa or condo

The journey is often steep and quick offering challenging conditions. Approximately halfway through the tour, there is an area with calm waters where everyone can take a break and admire the view before continue the adrenaline rush rapids. Once again towards the end of the tour, the river's flow lessens allowing to take in the sights and see many species of birds while cruising over the last few rapids.

The Naranjo is a wild and often changing river. This rafting tour is geared towards the physically fit experienced rafters who are comfortable with Class III and class IV rapids.

ⓘ Additional Information about White Water Rafting The Naranjo River in Costa Rica:

This Naranjo River rafting tour is available during our rainy season from May to November.
There is a 40 minute ride from base camp to the start of the rafting site. This is a great opportunity to see some of Costa Rica's rich scenery with jungle settings, palm tree plantations, and the small towns of Naranjito & Villanueva.
This white water rafting experience is considered "HIGH" on the difficulty level. Although previous experience is technically not required, good physical condition/strength, and good swimming skills are important.
